OUR NEWSLETTERS

Our newsletter is produced every two months. It contains a feature article on aspects of birdlife, mainly in Australia, usually written by research scientists or professional birders. Our members also contribute articles and short pieces, often illustrated by their high quality photography.

The newsletter keeps members up to date with Club activities, both past and upcoming.  Interesting observations by members are recorded, and suggestions given of good locations and possible sightings for the time of year.

Access to CBOC Newsletters is restricted to Members.

INFORMATION FOR LEADERS

CBOC encourages members who are experienced birders to volunteer to lead Club outings. Comprehensive information to support leaders is available at Information for Leaders.

JIM DIXON'S SKETCHES

Access to Jim's sketches is restricted to Members. This page showcases drawings of birds by founding member and Life Member, Jim Dixon.  Jim drew 47 birds for the ‘Upper Hawkesbury’ series published in the CBOC Newsletters between February 1980 and December 1982. Jim's drawings accompanied then-President Athol Colemane's descriptions of species' characteristics, habitat and behaviours.
