COME BIRDING WITH CBOC
Experience the joys of birdwatching and bird photography, and help support birds and their environment
ABOUT CUMBERLAND BIRD OBSERVERS CLUB
Cumberland Bird Observers' Club (CBOC) is a birdwatching club based in Sydney. We are a group of recreational birdwatchers and bird photographers. The club is keen to encourage people to become involved in birdwatching and to support bird conservation initiatives. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and have widely different levels of knowledge about birds.
We have over 40 birdwatching outings a year, plus bus trips and weekends away. For our younger birders, there are quarterly outings.
These are a great opportunity to visit a wide range of bird habitats in and around Sydney.
No matter whether you are a beginner or an experienced birdwatcher, you will be warmly welcomed on our outings.
Our monthly meetings are a chance to catch up with other birders. The night includes a Guest Speaker or something of interest to our members, as well as information on outings and upcoming events.
It is a good opportunity to socialize and ask questions. Come along and join us for a friendly, informative evening.
We encourage participation in a variety of bird-related events with other like-minded organisations.
These include bird surveys, workshops, conferences, habitat regeneration and other similar projects.
We hope that you can join us on some of these events.
OUR CONSERVATION ACTIONS
We participate in a variety of bird-related conservation activities and initiatives.
We encourage the recording of bird sightings and take part in a number of regular bird surveys in various locations.
Get involved and help us to support our birds and their habitats.
